FlowLogic RipTide are retreatment files that consist of three instruments, D1 (coronal), D2 (middle), and D3 (apical). RipTide files have been heat treated, giving the file improved fatigue and fracture resistance. While the D1 has an active cutting tip to help gain entry into the root canal, the continuing instruments have a non-cutting tip.
